The Firm offers legal representation in state and federal tax disputes, income and estate tax planning, and tax planning related to business operations. Our legal representation is supported by an experienced tax accounting department, which offers our clients not only assistance with tax planning in conjunction with our attorneys, but also assistance with budgeting, tax planning, and state and federal tax compliance and reporting.
Romita Asrani, CPA
Ms. Asrani manages our Tax Compliance and Accounting Department under the supervision of the Firm's attorneys. Ms. Asrani joined us in 1998 from the national (24 office) accounting firm, Cherry, Bekaert & Holland, where she was a manager. She was offered partner status before joining this Firm. Prior to then (1990), Ms. Asrani was a staff accountant with the international accounting firm, KPMG Peat Marwick.
Ms. Asrani has a strong background in individual, estate, and trust income tax compliance and related closely held business tax issues. She is also well versed in estate and gift tax planning which, along with additional developments and staff additions at the Firm, further entrenches us as a leading provider of comprehensive estate and tax planning on the Treasure Coast of Florida.
Ms. Asrani holds a CPA license in Florida and is a member of the American and Florida Institutes of Certified Public Accountants and the Estate Planning Council of Palm Beach County. She is the former Treasurer and Executive Board Member of the Women's Chamber of Commerce of Palm Beach County, is the former Chairperson of the Finance/Budget Committee of the Chamber, and is a member of the Health Facilities Authority Board of Palm Beach County.
Alice B. Sallman, CPA
Mrs. Sallman manages our estate and trust administration departments under the supervision of the Firm's attorneys. Mrs. Sallman has in excess of 30 years of experience in tax planning, preparation of estate and fiduciary returns, including charitable remainder trust and gift tax returns. She has been a CPA since 1978 and holds a B.A. in Education from the University of Florida. Mrs. Sallman is a member of the American and Florida Institutes of Certified Public Accountants. Prior to joining the Firm, Mrs. Sallman was with Mehlich, Roegiers, Goldin & Co. in Stuart, Florida, where she served as an Accounting Supervisor/Senior Accountant.
Patrick Mangan, CPA
Mr. Mangan joined the Firm in 2006 as a member of our Wealth Management and Tax Accounting Departments. Immediately before joining us, Mr. Mangan was a tax accountant with the international accounting firm, Pricewaterhouse Coopers. Mr. Mangan holds both Master's and Bachelor's of Science degrees in Accounting, magna cum laude, from Florida State University. Mr. Mangan is a licensed certified public accountant by the State of Florida and is a member of the American and Florida Institutes of Certified Public Accountants.
Chris G. Bordeau, CPA
Mr. Bourdeau is a member of our Tax Compliance Department. Mr. Bordeau holds a B.A. degree in Accounting from the Florida Atlantic University. He was previously with Wieseneck, Andres & Co. His background lies in federal and state, corporate, individual, partnership and fiduciary tax preparation compilation, and review. Mr. Bourdeau is a licensed certified public accountant by the State of Florida and is a member of the American and Florida Institutes of Certified Public Accountants. Mr. Bourdeau served in the Gulf War, Operation Desert Shield, in 1990 on the aircraft carrier USS Independence.
Freeman M. Dail, CPA
Mr. Dail brings to us over 35 years of tax accounting experience. Immediately prior to joining our Tax Complaince Department he spent three years with the Proctor, Crook & Crowder accounting firm in Stuart, Florida, where he was a senior tax account manager. He spent 30 years with the Rockville, Maryland firm of Berlin, Ramos & Company, where he was a partner. Mr. Dail is a graduate of the University of Maryland and has diverse experience in income tax compliance. He is also experienced in areas of tax and financial planning, and is an Elder of his church in Stuart, Florida. Mr. Dail is a member of our Wealth Management and Tax Compliance Departments. Mr. Dail is a licensed certified public accountant by the State of Florida and is a member of the American and Florida Institutes of Certified Public Accountants.
