Alex Fontaine

Alex Fontaine has been practicing law in the state of Florida since 1999.  After graduating Nova Southeastern University, Cum Laude, Mr. Fontaine was hired as a prosecutor for the 17th Judicial Circuit in and for Broward County where he worked in both the felony trial and domestic violence units.  Shortly after, Mr. Fontaine was hired as a court appointed criminal defense attorney for the 19th Judicial Circuit of Florida.

In the fall of 2003, Mr. Fontaine opened The Law Offices of Alex J. Fontaine, P.A. specializing in criminal defense, but also handling family law and civil litigation matters.  His experience involves a wide range of litigation matters, from 1stdegree felony and capital crimes through misdemeanor, DUI, and domestic violence crimes, Mr. Fontaine has picked and tried jury trial cases in Palm Beach, Broward, Indian River, St. Lucie, and Martin counties.  In 2006, Mr. Fontaine was hired on a controversial 1st Degree Murder Cold Case involving complex DNA evidentiary issues.  This high profile Palm Beach County case was featured on both Dateline NBC and 48 hours.

Mr. Fontaine is a corporate agent of The Fund in the State of Florida and will be concentrating on real estate transactions within the firm as well.  He has a Bachelors Degree in Marketing from The School of Business at Michigan State University and a Juris Doctor, with Honors, from Nova Southeastern University’s Shepard Broad College of Law.

Mr. Fontaine is married with two children and is an avid alpine skier and Michigan State Spartan fan.
